This is weird. Some are saying she's doing this because she wants to run for President. I frankly can't see how it can possibly help her.

Thank you.
UPDATE: After having thought about it some more, and hearing more of the Governor's statement from earlier today, I see how this is classically Sarah. If (and it's a big if) she's decided to run for President, she's gotta campaign in the lower 48. She can't run for re-election as Governor of Alaska and also do that. It's not like George W. Bush running Texas and running for President. Alaska is to far "out the way" for that. She also said she doesn't want to just run out the clock as Governor while others campaign and she's just a lame duck. It wouldn't be fair to the citizens of the state she loves and a woman of her impeccable honesty would choose to do exactly what we saw her do today.
She'll run the risk of being called a quitter, but let's face it: Sarah Palin has already had lies and accusations way worse that that fired at her, and has since Sen. McCain picked her to be his running mate. Deflecting that charge will be the least of her worries if she decides to try for the White House.
